Bell Ringer:

The project outline is on Google Classroom under Fortune Cookie. There's a planning form you need to fill out as well as two documents one with links to all the editorial illustrators we've looked at over the last few weeks and the other with all the instructions to the different brainstorming exercises we've done throughout class. I've also attached the slideshow that we went through in class to talk about some of the project requirements and give examples.
The link to the slideshow is below as well:
You will need to complete the following:
Eat a fortune cookie to get your fortune to use as the prompt for your project
Circle one or two words in your fortune that you think are most important OR decide the theme of your fortune so you can complete one of the brainstorming activities
Complete AT LEAST one brainstorming activity (they are all outlined in a Google Doc on Google Classroom under the Fortune Cookie assignment)
Planning Form on Google Classroom
3 Thumbnail sketches in your sketchbook (find the page with the dotted lines, all three will go in one of those sections)
Value Comp: Can be done in the sketchbook or on a separate page
Color Comp: Can be done in the sketchbook or on a separate page
Start Final Project
The project is based on a fortune from the fortune cookie. I passed out fortune cookies in class. You should've taped yours into your sketchbook or written it down somewhere. If you lost your fortune, then you'll have to come up with a new one. I told you specifically to tape it into your sketchbook so you wouldn't lose it.
