Bell Ringer:

We finished creating a textile design by hand. Do not copy the design in the example.

Materials you'll need:

Piece of square tracing paper

Pencil

Scissors

Two pieces of scotch tape

When you cut your design apart to reassemble it, rub the tape on your pants or shirt first to pick up fibers. This will make it easier to peel the tape off later without ripping the tracing paper.

After finishing the square repeat design, I showed you how to do an oil pastel transfer to create a seamless repeated design.

Materials:

1 Oil Pastel

Square Repeat Design

Sharp pencil or pen

Couple pieces of tape

Construction paper

Fill the construction paper with your square repeat.

A5: We started the Half-Drop Repeat Design last time, but I decided to forgo that one since we have a limited amount of time left and it was also going to take more patience to teach then I have at the moment for a rowdy class at the end of the day.

You will only need to complete the Oil Pastel Transfer with Square Repeat as demonstrated above. We will be starting on the final project next week.
