A Day: Licensing

Bell Ringer:

Today we talked briefly about licensing and 3 different artists who have licensed or put their artwork on other products: Jessica Roux, Keith Haring, Shepard Fairey.

For the assignment, you needed to use your stencil to design/decorate three different products: a t-shirt, skateboard, and shoes. You can change your design, use all of it or parts of it, and you can even overlap your design with other classmates' with their permission.

You will need to complete one t-shirt design (front and back), one shoe design, and one skateboard deck design.

One of the cool things about Jessica Roux is that she uses two platforms that you are available to use as well! You can upload your own artwork to places like Society6 and Postable. This allows you earn a small profit from your artwork without having to worry about the logistics! Cool, huh?
