I had a sub the last half of the day so I could attend my sister's graduation so the outline for the day is also on Google Classroom.

Bell Ringer:

1A: There were A LOT of people who hadn't finished their Licensing assignment. This was mostly a good thing because most everyone was focused on putting a lot of effort into their designs. I let you work on those all of class.

I passed back the Shepard Fairey video clip assignments for you to look over and turn back in for a better grade. Instructions can be found on Google Classroom.

5A: I gave you 20-25 minutes to work on the Licensing assignment in class.

After cleaning the licensing assignment up, I started a textile design assignment with you. Textile and Fabric design is another big area in Illustration that involves licensing. You should have completed the first two on the front page: One-way directional print and two-way directional print.

Materials:

Stamp (should be asymmetrical either horizontally, vertically, or both)

Marker

Ruler

Worksheet

Pencil

For the first two prints, you'll need to create a grid inside the large rectangles so you can lay your print correctly. Each box in the grid needs to be 3/4 inch X 1 inch.

Use the marker to color your stamp.

For the one-way print you'll stagger the stamp to create your design.

For the two-way print, you'll stagger the stamp and flip it to create your design.

We'll finish the tossed and four-way print next time.
